This is a scenic trail that overlooks the Virgin River and the canyon as it leads to the Emeral Pools. It was moderately strenuous for us old folks (70's) but manageable, and I would do it again.

We took this trail back to Zion Lodge from Emerald Pools. There are beautiful views of the valley. It is a moderate hike; no more difficult than Emerald Pools trail.

These are the views that we saw after starting at Angel's Landing trailhead and going left onto Kayenta Trail heading towards the Emerald Pools. As you can see we went in February (2021) to avoid the heat and crowds, but it's still beautiful. No matter what trail you take or if you just ride the shuttle buses to the end and back, the views are amazing. You can't go wrong in this park!
