Amazing scenery. A great contrast to the Yosemite valley, and much cooler in the summer. The short "soda springs" hike from the visitor center is very much worth it.

Great place for hikes around a beautiful grassy landscape interspersed with mountains and small creeks. If you are taking the Tioga Pass stop here and do any of the hikes, even the short soda springs one is very worth it
