Great views of the canyon, but you can't really see the falls from Inspiration Point. You can drive here via a short loop, or you can walk the North Rim Trail.

If this was one of those viewpoints that was more than an easy access from the parking area I probably would not recommend it, but given it is easy access, it is a must stop on the north rim.

You can drive till this point or hike from lookout via grand view and reach here. The choice is yours. This is the last point on the northern rim road. We were traveling mid May, hence the parking was not a problem. But there can be limited parking during summer. In a few steps, you can see a beautiful view of the Yellowstone canyon. Takes 10 minutes to see the place and click pictures. You cannot see the falls from here, suggest you drive to Artist point(on the southern rim) for another fantastic view of the canyon along with the lower falls. It's on the opposite side of the canyon.

Yellowstone National Park is great! We went early in the season...avoiding the crowds...there was still a lot of snow keeping many trails and services closed. But the Park was opened for their first day of the season and it was awesome!
