Hidden gems are what make small towns worth exploring. The owners were opening up for the day and encouraged me to come inside and have a look around. If you love history, this place is worth a look-see. Groucho Marx allegedly performed here when he was 17 an was left stranded in the town of Victor. How cool is that? You get to see a stage where Groucho performed! Take a walk upstairs (watch the stairs, they are narrow) and see the projectors from a bygone era. Guaranteed you will not be sorry you did. These things are vanishing from our landscape so it is great to see them up close. Also, remember to bring cash (I didn't) and throw a few bucks in their donation jar for restoration. The passion they have for this building will entrance you and make you want to see more!

One of several carefully renovated old buildings in the Historic Gold Camp District, this one is a favorite of the locals who know it's history. The owner has created a miniature golf feature in the side yard and has plans for lots of good time to come.
