National Museum of the Marine Corps
As a part of the Marine Corps Heritage Center, National Museum of the Marine Corps features interactive exhibits and military artifacts of the United States Marines. At this 11,000 sq m (120,000 sq ft) structure, you'll find yourself on a recreated beach of Iwo Jima and at the landing zone in Vietnam. You'll see the original flag raised on Iwo Jima and hear recordings of real Marines telling their stories. Take the Legacy Walk through 200 years of Marine Corps history, experience battles and battlegrounds, and see iconic artifacts such as The Bell UH-1 Huey helicopter, M50A1 Ontos Anti-tank Vehicle, and Chuck Mawhinney's rifle. One of the best museums I have ever been to... better even than the Smithsonian. It gives you a feel for the sacrifice of our brave Marines. If you're in the area, you NEED to visit. They honestly should make a fifth "Night at the Museum" here. However, the gift shop is very pricey. They wanted $30 for a hat. Come on.

FREE MUSEUM! I feel this museum is one of the best I have ever been to. The layout is wonderful. There are many facts stated in a easy way to understand. I was able to go through with little ones and able to comprehend the majority of the material shown. My husband stayed another 2 hours to enjoy and read all of the displays. I would go again. Thank you MARINES and your families for your service.
