Children's Museum of Tacoma is a nonprofit museum for children located in Tacoma, Washington. The museum officially opened in 1986. The museum offers hands on play-to-learn experiences for children. In 2018 the museum secured a 1.6 million dollar commitment from the U.S. Department of Defense to open a satellite location on a military base (Joint Base Lewis-McChord).

I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old, both of which had a blast at this museum. It has a free admission but they accept donations. We had 3 adults, 2 children and donated $20 to enter which is a lot.... more

What an awesome place for the kiddos, and it’s by donation. The recommended donation is $10 per person, which I gladly provided in order to contribute and help keep the doors open. Not the biggest Children’s museum in the Pacific Northwest, but still nice to have here in the Tacoma area.

We've been members for a few months and visit the JBLM location often but we finally had a chance to check out the Tacoma location. We had so much fun, our son really loved the water station, and our daughter had a great time creating art in the studio space. We can't wait to visit again!
