Recommend doing circuit backwards then sign at beginning of trail for an easier hike. 6.5 miles to see three amazing waterfalls can easily do in 4 hours with many stops. One of the most beautiful hikes in Shenandoah, you get rough terrain, steep inclines, and all along the water.

First time hiker and I did the shorter trail within 2 hours. Very moderate trail and you will cross a stream of water here and there. Beautiful cascades and waterfalls! Would definitely go back!
