With more than 1,000 different pieces of art, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum represents the largest collection of her artwork in the world. Originally opened in 1997, the museum today collects her works and also displays information about her life, artistic development, and the rise of American Modernism. Its temporary special exhibitions often display works of other contemporary Modernist artists. A guided museum tour given by a docent is included in the price of admission. Be sure to get your tickets in advance. I booked mine two months before my trip. When I arrived there were folks standing around outside who had traveled to Santa Fe and were unable to get tickets.

Overall good museum, but also slightly disappointing. Was hoping to find more info/historical artifacts about her personal life. Did enjoy the video interview back in the 1980s, when she was in her 90s. Paintings were beautiful and nice gift shop.

Stunning museum from one of art's true masters, Georgia O'Keeffe. Incredible exhibition. Varied history including her paints, brushes and visual history. The art is much more appreciated in person rather than a book. Her technique is superb in every visual way. One looks at deserts, flowers and the sky in such a a different manner. It's an incredible inspiration for anyone. The treasure of New Mexico.
