A very peaceful and quiet state park. Beautiful old growth trees and the amazing beauty of nature reclaiming the surrounding roads and paths. Joe the park hoast was informative and friendly providing us a historical account of why the state no longer allows camping or long stays here.

THIS PLACE IS NOTHING SHORT OF MAGICAL. A great hour walk - two if you let yourself go spacey and take it all it. Some trees there are dated 1660! Every type of forest growth you can imagine is there. I felt like I was in a movie about magical forests. The sun shining through the trees and long hanging boss didn't hurt either. I don't want to tell anyone about it, because I had the most peaceful time to myself. :-) Still you deserve to know. I played Gregorian chants while experiencing Rockport State Park trail. Transformational!
