  • The best ball complex I have ever been to! Clean, spacious, ample parking and love the covered bleachers! Walking trails, playground, beautiful views of the mountains.

  • Choccolocco Park Oxford, Alabama Muscogee Indian territory for most of history. The grounds here were held in high regard and used for ceremonial and living purposes. Perfect setting for that afternoon walk your mind and body desire. The concrete pathway circles the lake and provides for a low impact easy walk encompassing a distance of 1.8 miles. Come here at dawn to walk and watch the sunset... serene, calming and relaxing... this walk was perfect, the ideal summer excursion. Bring a snack or two, parking is ample... and the park and trail are easily accessible, the information boards line the pathway and provide informative historical information. Most interesting of all is the 'Earthen Mound' used by the Muscogee for ceremonial purposes... captivating and ancient this site was an important community gathering place. This area of land at Choccolocco Park is a historically significant site... It was inhabited for thousands of years before the presence of Eastern Europeans. This is Native American land and territory. You can feel this important relationship to the past in the Parks pathways. The environment the setting of the sun and the air around you all reflect a Native peoples presence. I was very impressed with this park. The setting around me could not be more perfect. Choccolocco Park is a must visit site for it's historical value. And the sunsets at dawn are beautiful and inspiring. Give yourself time to reflect and find that inner calm the environment dictates. I felt re-invigorated after my walk through Choccolocco, time spent I wouldn't take for granted. The park was well worth my visit.
  • Well kept and maintained complex and park with lake. Small playground for younger kids. Walking trail that encompasses the lake, with pavilions and benches to enjoy the scenery. Softball/baseball competition complex.
