  • The reason this is called Donut Falls is no longer there unfortunately. You still have the falls but the signature donut shape is no more.

  • This was a really nice hike. I am suffering from altitude sickness and wanted something less strenuous. It was rough iny condition, but would have been a nice relaxing jaunt had I been up to par. We were unsure where to park. We parked in the big lot by the main road and walked to the start of the trail- 1.5 miles one way. Anout .5 miles from the falls there was another lot where most people accessed the trail, so there is that option if you don't want to go too far. There are rocks and roots and it is slippery when wet, so some caution is advised but it is not hard by any means.
  • The drive through the canyon is breathtaking on its own, but the hike is gorgeous all the way through. It is fairly flat, simple, and kid-friendly up until the base of the falls. For the more adventurous, the final 100 feet of the hike is a technical scramble up slippery wet rocks to the base of the cave. I only recommend attempting this part if you are an experienced hiker with good wayfinding and scrambling skills. People have been seriously injured attempting to climb the rocks, so proceed at your own risk. There were ropes left behind by previous groups, but you shouldn't trust them. If you are looking for a unique adventure, be sure to check this place out! It is perfect if you plan to travel from Salt Lake to Park City and don't mind taking a more scenic route!
