We went to the Cascades to pick up my daughter from her PCT through hike. We stayed in Winthrop. The drive was absolutely amazing! Winthrop was a friendly little town with nice shops and wonderful.... more

Beautiful location to view the lake. We had a sunny day with a few clouds and the color of the lake looked amazing. The location has ample parking and some picnic tables too. We did the Thunder Knob Trail before we came to the vista point.

Breath taking views. The aquamarine color can only be enjoyed on sunny days. It is not too far from the campground (~15 min). There are non-flush bathrooms. Parking space is a bit small for the popular area however since not a lot of people stays for a long time, there is always cars leaving the place. There are about 2 picnic tables. It is pretty windy.
