At World Trade Center's Liberty Park, relax, reflect, and recharge in the midst of Manhattan's bustling downtown. Inspired by the iconic High Line, the park overlooks the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. Three stairways, a ramp from Greenwich Street and a pedestrian bridge lead into the park. The park's most memorable feature is the 6.1 m (20 ft) tall "living wall" made from periwinkle, Japanese spurge, winter creeper, sedge, and Baltic ivy. See the iconic Sphere, a bronze sculpture that survived the September 11 attacks, and the rebuilt Greek Orthodox Church that did not share the same fate. Notice the names of those who perished in 2001 terrorist attack engraved on the edge of the fountain. To plan New York City vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

  • We selected a guided tour at the World Trade Center Memorial/Museum. Our guide was very knowledgeable and allowed everyone time to view and reflect.

  • When you arrive all the noise stops. the city just seems quite not sure if mentally or literally. it is a surreal moment/monument!

  • We visited here in December 2021. The views of the statue, Jersey and NYC are amazing! Beautiful sunset over the water. Park was clean, people were at the playground. There was even a family barbecuing there. Had a great time. Place was clean too! Traffic getting to and from our hotel in Long Island....well, that's another story!
  • It's absolutely stunning!!! Honoring what was before and surrounded by what is new. It's very hard to get it all in, so please visit when you have time. Take the time to read the description of all you see. Everything has meaning here.
