Jimmy Driftwood Barn, Mountain View

Mostly older folks sharing their love of music with anyone who wants to come. It's pretty much an open-mic evening, and there's not a lot of real talent there, but that's not the point. It's more like a bunch friends just getting together and playing and singing the best they can and enjoying each other's company. One thing's for sure: there are no strangers inside the Jimmy Driftwood Barn. Just good fellowship among some pretty good folks. There's no admission charge. They just pass the basket and you donate as you wish. They only do a couple shows a week, so I imagine they're just trying to collect enough money to pay the bills and keep the good times going. You don't mind donating what you can, because you leave feeling warm inside.
