International Paper-John Dillon Park's main goal is to make the natural landscape of the Adirondacks available to everyone, especially people with disabilities. This was the vision of International Paper's retired Chairman and CEO, John Dillon.John Dillon Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.
Upon the retirement of John Dillon, in honor of his service and leadership, International Paper designed and constructed International Paper-John Dillon Park as a fully accessible facility located in a wilderness setting.
The park will demonstrate how well-managed forests, manufacturing, recreation and forestry protection play a role in benefiting the Adirondacks.
International Paper has partnered with Paul Smith's College, to manage the park, and the State of New York, through a recreation easement, to bring this idea to reality.
We offer you the opportunity to open up your world of experience by joining us in experiencing the beauty of the Adirondacks.

Favorite part is Mr. John Dillon and his mission. I am still in awe after 15 or so years from my 1st visit. The area is well maintained and cared for. A true gem in every sense. I strongly suggest..... more

Visited several days with my dog in 2018 and again in 2019. The staff checks firewood, food storage, garbage ,and outhouses daily. Very safe environment. The bugs sent me home after three days.

We absolutely love camping here . It is rustic camping with lean-tos and outhouses. Perfect for getting away . The best part , though , is that it is totally wheelchair accessible , designed for folks with physical disabilities in mind . The fishing dock is wheelchair accessible as is the pontoon boat on which you can ride for free . The staff are wonderful..., so helpful. The scenery is beautiful and I love the sounds of the loons that live on Lake Grampus .

So beautiful, staff was very kind. Road to the campgrounds are a bit rough, we had to walk since we didnt have a truck but they provide pull-carts to help you transport your supplies which is super appreciated. Red Fox and Black Bear lean-to are the prettiest ones, right on the water! Highly recommend
