    We went for an evening program on a night with a crescent moon. Brad was very knowledgeable and thorough. We got to look through various telescopes at the moon and stars. The staff was very helplful.....  more

    We just loved seeing the full moon at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. There were 2 telescopes out for the kids to use for viewing this evening. Very quiet with lots of clear sky... highly suggest for some stargazing after a day of hiking or exploring the state parks.

    It's an interesting observation area, with openings that correspond with the sun on the winter and summer solstices as well as at each equinox. We were there in the daytime so not a lot to observe in the sky but as I understand it there are night time presentations from time to time.
