    Lots of beautiful scenery. Many places for dispersed camping. Starting to get trampled by out of state travelers who either don't know or don't care about camping ethics.

    The black canyon at Gunnison National Park was amazing! Many spots available for excellent views and photo opportunities. Painted rocks were gorgeous.

    11 nights in our log cabin on top of a 11,400-ft mountain made the wilderness feel like home. Lots of great hikes exploring up and down the mountain behind Pitkin. A few days huddled around a wood stove when the rain set in, but mostly clear mornings and warmer than usual temperatures for high altitude.
