Featuring numerous plunges and cascades, 24 m (80 ft) high Laurel Falls is divided into upper falls and lower falls sections with a walkway cutting through. The trail that runs through the falls provides an overlook. You can reach the falls, one of the most popular attractions in the park, from a 2.1 km (1.3 mi) paved hiking trail that is ranked easy to moderate--but take note that it is sometimes slippery. Be wary of the historic lookout tower at the end of the trail; it is considered too unsafe to climb. You want a smooth pavement, go somewhere else. The walk through the woods is enjoyable but not good start in few car park spaces available means you are fighting with other hikers for the spaces.

The falls are breathtaking but getting there is killer. The trail is 1.2 miles and it is badly washed out. It needs repairs.

Laurel Falls destination was only 1.2 miles to get to. So the walk wasn’t terrible at all compared to some locations.

Beautiful falls at a decent hour hike round trip. The path has asphalt but careful of your footing.
