King Family Vineyards, Crozet

We visited on a windy and chilly day, so we were unfortunately not able to enjoy the spacious outdoor area or explore the expansive grounds as we would have liked. We took refuge in the warm and cozy tasting room in front of the fireplace. It was the perfect setting to warm up and enjoy our self guided red tasting. We must have caught the guided tasting room manager, a well loved tabby cat, on a union break! We love seeing cats wherever we go, so this was a highlight. Even though we adore our reds, we especially loved the Crozet wine. Like a favorite pair of blue jeans, it is timeless and goes with everything! We're looking forward to returning, in warmer months, to see a polo March and enjoy a vineyard and winery tour. Cheers to continued success in 2023!

Such a beautiful, family friendly property. We did an in-person tasting of five different wines and the staff member who helped us was very knowledgeable and super welcoming. It was hard to choose which ones to take home, but we picked 4 out of the 5. We will definitely be returning to watch one of the Polo matches they have on the property.
