Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is a living history museum (sometimes called an open-air museum) and farm located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Restored buildings and period-appropriate attired museum guides depict life in the Pikes Peak region in four time periods and in four different households: American Indian life in 1775; an 1860s cabin (Galloway Homestead); an 1880s farm (Chambers Home and Ranch); and a 1907 Edwardian Country Estate. Each residence (teepee, log cabin, farm house, mansion) reflects the construction and contents of homes of those periods. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our Colorado Springs day trip planning website makes visiting Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site and other Colorado Springs attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

My husband and I decided to go to Rock Ledge Ranch when we saw the parking entrance on our way out of Garden of the Gods…So glad we stop to check it out! We strolled the paths and stopped at each of the sites and listened to the detailed historic story of the ranch, beginning with the Native Americans who first inhabited the land. The docents, all dressed in period clothing and working the ranch, were exceptionally knowledgeable and were happy to answer all our questions. I was happy to see the youth docents and enjoyed speaking with them as well. There are animals on the ranch - cow, horse, chickens, geese..which kids would love to see. There are restrooms for your comfort and a General Store. My husband and I would highly recommend the Rock Ledge Ranch if you find yourself near Colorado Springs.

This is a beautiful park! Nice fall colors right now. It's free to go in if there isn't a living history program going on. Lots to see with all the trees, historic buildings and a pond.
