  • Koda Chrome basin is very easy to be missed and most people and never get there. If you are traveling along scenic byway 12 and hopefully you should be one of these years since it's one of the most spectacular drives ever. This is a very unique and surreal area and you can drive around and take in the breathtaking views or you can actually get out and hike around a little bit. I recommend bringing a camera and taking photographs and this place is amazing near sunset.
  • Looks like an amazing place to camp, you can tell they're still in the process of developing the park; they the farthest off grid flush toilets I've ever encountered. The hiking is a little bit limited. Petrified geysers are super cool and unique, and looking for scorpions with a black light in the dark was awesome and a definite highlight. Deep in their informational packet it states that Shakespeare arch collapsed in 2019 (erosion is a never ending process) but there's no signage indicating that at the beginning of the drive or trailhead. Overall a really cool edition to our trip to get away from the crowds at national parks
