Nestled within the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls features a series of eight different waterfalls and an assortment of nature trails. You can wander across wooden bridges over roaring rivers as you discover each waterfall. Keep an eye out for the tallest, which plunges 30 m (100 ft). The trails provide different levels of difficulty, so for longer ones be sure to wear proper footwear. However, viewpoint over the biggest of the waterfalls is a relatively easy walk. • Bushkill Falls, simply beautiful. I've visited so many times over the years. It does get crowded, especially on the weekends (more so during the summer)...parking pretty challenging too. If you're not patient, this would be a deterrent from ever wanting to visit again. Plan ahead, arrive early morning, or later in the afternoon. Check the operating hours, as they close the entrance to the Falls after a certain time (sometimes as early as 4pm/5pm, off season). There are trails, if you choose to venture out, beyond the Falls. Come prepared, dress accordingly (proper shoes), bring water, bug spray.. The entrance tickets a bit pricey (you can't enter without).. Bring your own snacks or lunch...or $$ to buy there. Overall a great place to visit - the views, scenery & falls are breathtaking. The park is well maintained.
  • It’s been decades (literally) since I walked the falls at Bushkill. What a pleasant surprise! The campus is clean, well maintained and easily accessible. The trails are clearly marked and the map they give you is easy to read. It’s completely pet friendly; in fact, my pups and I walked the longest trail (red) and had a fantastic time. Some of the steps and walkways are narrow- so make sure your furry friends are leashed and can stay close and to the side. People are generally kind and considerate, but many hikers would rather keep hiking than stop for a quick pet or sniff, which is completely understandable. There are smaller loops that would be great for pets who might not enjoy a long walk through some tough terrain. There are also snack bars, a mini food stand, ice cream store, souvenir shop and large restrooms. (Pets are not allowed in many of the indoor places.) Overall, this was the best $15 I’ve spent in a very long time. (Parking is free!)
