  • I have always been enthralled with this mountain range. When I lived in Wyoming in the early 80's, any time I would be able to drive close to this vista I would always think "Man in the Wilderness...

  • Pretty big place and beautiful but rough so b careful... you will get dirty but dirt won't hurt you or just might bring you back to the reality of the great outdoors...woohoo!! Love it...I hiked a Lil n got dirt in my shoes finger nails n such but I'm just fine n had lots of fun...Thank you for keeping it beautiful for us to enjoy!! 😉
  • I camped here over five years ago and went again this year. The Uintas are beautiful. So many lakes, marshes, beautiful mountains, and forests. And animals. So many animals. There are lots of places to camp (many of them free). If you like hiking, there's absolutely a lot of that. If you like mellowing, it's great for that too. I'd say the one big drawback are the mosquitos. Damn things are EVERYWHERE, so bring your repellent. Also, even in the summer, it gets a little cold at night, so bring appropriate gear for that.
