Looking for a fantastic city venue? It's a little known fact that Worcester's beautiful Guildhall has received its fair share of Royal patronage over its long history; many will remember Queen Elizabeth's visit in 2000 but how about King George III on a sunny day in August 1788?Put The Guildhall Worcester and other Worcester attractions into our Worcester day trip planning tool, and watch your holiday take shape.
Along with Queen Charlotte and three of the princesses, he pronounced the Assembly Room on the top floor of The Guildhall - 'a handsome gallery' and drank a toast to 'prosperity to the city and the Corporation of Worcester'. The portrait of the King - still hanging in the Assembly Room today - was presented by him to the city to commemorate his visit.
But it’s not just royalty that can take advantage of one of the city's most beautiful buildings! Available to hire for up to 200 guests, The Guildhall is a perfect venue for a host of occasions.
With 6 rooms available for hire with a capacity ranging from 12 - 200 the Guildhall can cater for a wide variety of events.
As of March 2013 the Guildhall will have its own wedding license and will be available to hire. Being one of the most iconic buildings in Worcester the Guildhall could be the perfect wedding venue for you.

There's not that much to see here, really. It's a few large, but mostly empty rooms, a few paintings, and some nice ceilings. There's also an irritatingly loud local radio playing through the sound...

Beautiful building, gorgeous architecture, right in the middle of the main high street in Worcester, didn’t have time to go round and look but you can go look round the place, which I’d love to go back and do!
