Milton Keynes Museum is an independent local museum in the parish of Wolverton and Greenleys in Milton Keynes, England. It is mostly run by volunteers with a small number of paid staff.Make your Milton Keynes itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.
The museum is housed in a former Victorian farmstead.
It covers the history of the Milton Keynes area, including northern Buckinghamshire and southern Northamptonshire, from the year 1800 onwards. It includes the Stacey Hill Collection of rural life, consisting of agricultural, domestic, industrial, and social objects connected to the area before the 1967 foundation of Milton Keynes.
There is also a collection of many memorabilia of the nearby Wolverton railway works.
The museum's Connected Earth collection includes a variety of historic telephones and switchboards, many still in working order.
The museum also has some historic Post Office and British Telecom vehicles. The largest of these is the Road Phone, an enormous working telephone used for promotional purposes.
The museum was previously called the Stacey Hill Museum.

We enjoyed a most entertaining time at the Museum, our first visit, trying the hands on exhibits and hearing about the history of this site from very enthusiastic informative guides. For one of us it was a wonderful trip down memory lane ending with a few moments in the Anderson shelter. Return visits will be made to see everything we missed. Great cakes too and very welcoming volunteers.

Impressive place!!! Pretty much everything is working and available to try, or to be demonstrated by guide's. Nice people working here, very helpful and informative. Nice souvenir shop. Recommended for families or youth to see the struggle how people lived in the past. My boys gain loads of information same as me:) must to mention little coffee shop they got, not massive variety of food, but very tasty.
