Come to Westonbirt Arboretum for its internationally renowned collection of trees. The venue has labeled nearly 15,000 individual trees covering some 3,000 types. Walk along a self-guided trail to see species such as maple, magnolia, white beam, and oak. Keep an eye out for rare varieties such as the Brazilian pine, dawn redwood, and Patagonian cypress. The 240 hectares (600 acres) of land host various types of birds, so bring your binoculars if you enjoy bird-watching. You can visit the arboretum any time of year: colorful flowers and blossoms show themselves in spring, leaves are most plentiful in summer, a kaleidoscope of colors comes out in autumn, and conifers stand out in winter. If you have difficulty exploring the venue on foot, inquire about borrowing one of the available electric scooters. • Stunning location and a massive grounds to wonder. Really happy with our visit and would definitely recommend it. Go hug a tree or six! :-)

  • A fantastic place to go for a walk and get some fresh air in beautiful surroundings. Lots of choice over the type of path to explore or type of trees you'd like to see. There's also a tree-top walkway that provides a different perspective. Great for the whole family with different things to see according to the time of year. There are plenty of places to eat a picnic, there's also a mobile food and drink van near the entrance alternatively you can sit in the cafe. Thoroughly recommended.
  • This is a beautiful place and there's loads of grounds to walk in. I feel we went at the wrong time of year, mid April, and many of the trees had not yet come into leaf. Still lovely but we didn't get the full effect. I've no doubt this would be 5 stars from me between June-October.
