As the final resting place of Shakespeare, Holy Trinity Church stands as one of England's most-visited parish churches. Head out to the 15th-century chancel (space around the altar in the east end of a church) to see his grave and the funerary monument on the wall beside it. The church holds other significant attractions. In the nave of the church, look for the large medieval stained-glass windows and three-manual-pipe organ, which dates to 1841. Check out the Clopton Chapel, which holds the altar-tomb of 15th-century mayor Hugh Clopton. He led Stratford-Upon-Avon's early development but is actually buried in London.
