An "Italian" village on the coast of North Wales, Portmeirion Village is a fantasyland built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975. The village's playful architecture is painted bright colors and offset by thick, green foliage.     Free car park which was good. £17 entrance was a bit much considering you walk round and everywhere says private for residents. The woodland walk was really nice though. We went into the gelato cafe.....  more
