  • Lovely sandy beach with stunning views and rock pools to explore plus it's on the coastal path if you want to wander further afield. Access is via a narrow road which won't be fun during peak season. Free toilets at the car park and an ice cream van are the only facilities so bring your own picnic.
  • We walked from Manorbier to Freshwater Lake and back along the coastal path last week. N.B.The car park doesn't take cards and there was no phone reception so we had to go back to the village to get cash at the shop( annoying!). Beach is quite pretty although not the best on this coastal stretch ( there's a fair bit of competition). It's a mix of shingle and sand and was used by body boarders, paddle boarders etc as fairly wavy. Fantastic, quite hard walk from here (lots of up and down on some scrabbly and would be very muddy paths in wet weather, my husband thought it wasn't too tough though!) The views going and coming from the beach are lovely. We also visited the castle which is just about worth the entrance price of £6 (£4.50/5 would be more realistic) and the views from the Tower towards the beach are fab!
