Fabulous day out for all ages. There are beautiful formal gardens to explore, with plenty of well placed seats to enjoy the view. We love the pagodas in the lakes. The hedge puzzle is such fun. The central tower gives a great view over the grounds and the tunnel to the sunken garden is fun as well as a welcome cool spot. The kids loved the waterfall you can walk behind and the stepping stones. Having the river walk gives a chance to see the castle fully. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the castle history and it is so nice to see how it has been restored and is still very much in use for weddings. Lovely cafe and good facilities. Well worth the slightly pricey fee.

Lovely grounds to explore, the flowers have started to bloom and the vegetables are growing well. Not many people here on a monday, so we took our time. A picnic would be a good idea to sit in the many grass areas available. The maze was good fun as was the waterfall you could walk behind. £9.50 entry each adult but you could easily spend the day here. The cafe didn't have many vegan food options is my only criticism otherwise a nice cup of tea had while admiring the historical building and grounds.
