Visit the stately Croome Court, as well as gatehouses, towers, and a church at Croome. Take a tour of Croome Court, the beautiful 18th-century house at the center of the park. At the Visitor Center, built inside the country's only remaining World War II hospital, check out the ‘bat cam' to spy on the park's sleeping bats and nesting birds. Tour the secret Royal Air Force airbase buildings scattered around the park, where over 2,000 servicemen and scientists worked during World War II. • Stopped off on the drive from Pembrokeshire to North Yorkshire with a plan to get some lunch - ended up only staying for about 45 mins and it was so busy we skipped lunch and went to Macdonalds...

  • Really nice walking down the hill from the church may be a bit steep for some but there's a golf type buggy that can take you down and back up if needed. The view from the top is lovely a walk by the river have a picnic the house is very interesting grounds lovely too a really enjoyable day out was very busy but you can just take your time and go at your pace. A nice walk with your doggy too
  • Excellent gardens and surroundings to visit in family and taking your dog. The house is a strong part of the history of the reason but you expect to see lavish interiors you’ll be disappointed, since still a lot of work going on and deep conservation work must be done. There is also the walled gardens which aren’t part of the NT property but it worth the visit ( fee is £5) with free coffee, tea or ice cream
