An impressive brick and mortar Viaduct of 82 arches dating back to the 1870's and still in use today. It is the longest brick built Viaduct spanning a valley in Britain. We did a circular 5 mile walk starting and ending in Harringworth. An enjoyable walk and impressive civil engineering.

This is well worth viewing if you are in the Rutland area. It is amazing how long it is. There is no public car here, but drive into the village and park and you can go down a footpath that gives you access to stand underneath the viaduct. Trains do still use it so you might be lucky to see that also.
