Cwmbran Boating Lake, Cwmbran

Enjoyed going here for a day out with my daughter this summer. It was very busy and it was difficult for my kid to get on things not unless we rushed to it before someone else. The cafe was also a bit pricey but that’s no surprise. I loved how spacious and open the park is, enough grass area for families with chairs and picnics. The play area was a good size with a varied amount of things to use, the big slide seemed popular. Went for a walk around the lake, was relaxing and was made easy to feed them given they sell duck food at the cafe. If you come to either walk your dog, general exercise or for a day out with family…It’s a nice park with nice views of ducks and swans, good size play area and toilets are right behind the cafe. Downside, no toilet paper when I went in there but not surprising given how busy it was! I can’t comment on car park being closed to early as I don’t drive, I would say it’s best to leave ahead of time so you don’t get locked in to be on the safe side. I wish I hadn’t of moved as I would have gone to this park often, nice place. Only thing I would say, could make it even better with a good size sand pit, I felt half of that tarmac area being used for bikes could be used for a sand pit or outdoor swimming area.

What a lovely place Cymbran town is. As I was in the area having breakfast at the local Harvester I went for a walk around the park and Cymbran boating lake, its a beutiful place and well worth a stop off. I want to say something about the people and the Town. Everyone you walk passed will say good morning/afternoon/evening to you "everyone"! I came away feeling I was given a huge amount of respect,common courtesy and a feeling that I was in a wonderful caring community and a people that were proud of who they were.
