  • A lovely little walk and view at the end. A car would take you most of the way following the canal to the aqueduct, but I think it's mostly for locals to go down. There's a small parking lot that you should park at instead and just take the pleasant 5-10 minute stroll. 20 minutes is really all you need for the walk and to take in the sights.
  • I would definitely recommend a visit to the Chirk aqueduct if you are in the area. It is well sign posted through the village of Chirk, with car parking close by. There are serval cafes and takeaways in Chirk, so very easy to make a day of your visit. The aqueduct itself is very photogenic, so definitely have your camera ready. There is plenty to see along the canal and the foot paths are well kept. Plenty of wildlife in this area, and plenty of barges to watch as they go by. You may also encounter the "darkie tunnel" along your walk on the canal - so a touch is highly recommended!
