  • I hadn't been in the cathedral for over 40 years but visited today with my family while on a nostalgia trip to Chelmsford. It is truly a beautiful place if worship & well worth a visit.

  • Lovely place, brilliant people. There could be more stock in the shop and do bring the right money or be prepared to put more in the slot in the wall to cover your purchases. The grounds were peaceful and sunny and we sat and had a picnic outside. No problem with the toilets or any of the facilities.
  • Beautiful building and grounds - I would highly recommend visiting at night if you ever get the chance. We visited the Gaia project art installation and thought the it was absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend visiting - but take note that there will be many families with children running about playing etc. this added a certain playful innocence to the scene - which I feel may be an unintended consequence of the installation, detracting away from the magnitude and gravitas that the display could otherwise bring to such a gothic setting.
