  • This is a lovely place to visit, there is plenty of parking down a mile long driveway. The house is very interesting with good use made of local records, to tell the story. The book shop is small but well stocked, with toilet and baby change facilities nearby. The cafe sells all the normal stuff, with a small amount of seating inside. There is additional seating in the courtyard and in the old stables.
  • This small manor, gate house and moat are located in a relatively remote, beautiful and peaceful valley bottom. It is well worth taking an hour to visit the house or even better taking the time to walk through the orchards, forest and farmland. Each room is dedicated to a past occupant of the house, and are appropriately furnished. All the rooms of the house are open but the stairs are quite steep and floor boards uneven. However there are adequate grab handles if needed. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A lovely low key visit.
