Barnards Farm Gardens, Brentwood

After doing the Christmas train ride (which was great fun and really well done) We decided to do the easter egg hunt train ride. It was £10 each, so £40 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were met by the mad hatter, who explained that we had to look out for eggs and letters during our train ride, and if at the end if we found then all and made a word from the letters, the children could pick an egg. The train ride was lovely, the kids had fun finding the eggs and letters. It's a shame it's Iver so quickly and the grounds are so lovely. It's a shame the train didn't stop at the little cottage like it does at Christmas, it would of been nice to stop and maybe meet an Easter bunny. Instead the children gave their completed hunts to the mad hatter who gave then an egg and posed for some photos. As the weather was nice we then had a lovely walk around the grounds, which is a must, as its beautifully done.

Lovely day with little kids. Definitely get the rover train tickets! My two went on the train 4 times. We also explored the gardens and sculptures. There is a cafe for cakes and drinks. But that's it. So take a proper picnic if you want to make a day of it. Between tickets for the garden, and then the rover train tickets it was £28.5 for 1 adult a 5 year old and 2 year old.
