Start off your visit on the 30th (Sat): admire the majestic nature at Kiptopeke State Park, cast your line with Tidewater Charters, and then kick back and relax at Cape Charles Beach. On your second day here, explore the wealth of natural beauty at Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge.

Shenandoah National Park to Virginia Beach is an approximately 4-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of taxi and bus. Traveling from Shenandoah National Park in September, Virginia Beach is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 67°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) so you can drive to Chincoteague Island.

Drive from Virginia Beach to Chincoteague Island in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 71°F in October, and nighttime lows around 54°F. On the 2nd (Mon), you're off to Shenandoah National Park.
