Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Las Vegas: Boulder City (Winged Figures of the Republic Statues & Hoover Dam). There's still lots to do: explore the stunning scenery at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, ponder the design of Fountains of Bellagio, examine the collection at The Mob Museum, and make a trip to The Strip.

Charlotte to Las Vegas is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. You'll gain 3 hours traveling from Charlotte to Las Vegas due to the time zone difference. In July, Las Vegas is somewhat warmer than Charlotte - with highs of 104°F and lows of 81°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Baker.

Baker is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in White Pine County, Nevada, United States. On the 14th (Wed), make a trip to Baker Archaeological Site, explore the activities along Teresa Lake, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Wheeler Peak, then stroll around Great Basin National Park, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of Lehman Caves. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 15th (Thu): trek along Alpine Lakes Loop, hike along Bristlecone Trail, and then trek along Baker Lake Trail.

Getting from Las Vegas to Baker by car takes about 4.5 hours. When traveling from Las Vegas in July, plan for little chillier days in Baker, with highs around 89°F, while nights are cooler with lows around 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Thu) so you can travel to Overton.

Overton is an Unincorporated Town located in Clark County, Nevada. Start off your visit on the 16th (Fri): trek along White Domes Trail, admire the majestic nature at Valley of Fire State Park, and then explore the striking landscape at Mouse's Tank. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Lost City Museum.
