Estes Park — 60 nights

More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
Get out of town with these interesting Estes Park side-trips: Rocky Mountain National Park (Alluvial Fan, Trail Ridge Road, &more), Boulder (Mesa Trail, National Center for Atmospheric Research - NCAR, &more) and Loveland (Loveland Museum/Gallery, Room Escape Games, &more). Spend the 13th (Tue) exploring nature at Rocky Mountain National Park. There's still lots to do: indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, look for gifts at Kirks Flyshop & Mountain Adventures, take in the pleasant sights at Riverwalk in Downtown Estes Park, and take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.

To find more things to do, where to stay, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Estes Park journey builder site.

If you are flying in from Peru, the closest major aiports are Denver International Airport and City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport. Expect a daytime high around 9°C in December, and nighttime lows around -9°C.
