Great Basin National Park — 1 night

Great Basin National Park is one of the U.S.'s more out-of-the-way national parks, but those who make the trip are rewarded with the striking contrast of snowcapped peaks rising from a high-altitude desert.
On the 19th (Fri), Head underground at Lehman Caves, then trek along Alpine Lakes Loop, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Bristlecone Trail.
