5 days in Varanasi & Ahmedabad Itinerary

A sacred city for Hindus and thought by many to be the place where Buddhism formed as a religion, Varanasi leaves an imprint on the hearts and minds of visitors regardless of their creed, race, or religion.

Varanasi is known for historic sites, sightseeing, and nature. Ahmedabad to Varanasi is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Ahmedabad in March: highs in Varanasi hover around 38°C, while lows dip to 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can fly to Ahmedabad.

The state's commercial, if not political hub, Ahmedabad stands as a sprawling metropolis with some important historical sites.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Mon): admire the striking features of Adalaj Step-well, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dada Bhagwan Temple, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jami Masjid.
