Melbourne, Australia to Jackson Hole is an approximately 26-hour flight. Traveling from Melbourne to Jackson Hole, you'll gain 17 hours due to the time zone difference. Expect much warmer weather when traveling from Melbourne in August: highs in Jackson Hole hover around 30°C, while lows dip to 7°C. On the 5th (Sat), you're off to Yellowstone National Park.

Change things up with a short trip to Grand Teton in Grand Teton National Park (about 1h 25 min away). You can drive from Jackson Hole to Yellowstone National Park in 2.5 hours. In August, Yellowstone National Park is slightly colder than Jackson Hole - with highs of 24°C and lows of 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Mon) early enough to catch the flight back home.
