Yerevan to Areni is an approximately 2-hour car ride. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Tatev.

Traveling by car from Tatev to Jermuk takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Dilijan.

Drive from Jermuk to Dilijan in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In September in Dilijan, expect temperatures between 34°C during the day and 16°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Alaverdi.

On the 26th (Mon), explore the historical opulence of Kayan Fortress, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Akhtala Monastery, then explore the ancient world of Haghpat Monastery, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Horomayri Monastery. Drive from Dilijan to Alaverdi in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Dilijan to Alaverdi due to the time zone difference. In September, Alaverdi is slightly colder than Dilijan - with highs of 29°C and lows of 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Gyumri.

Step out of Gyumri to go to Talin and see Talin Cathedral, which is approximately 1h 5 min away.
