The famous setting for Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, Verona is one of northern Italy's main tourist destinations, largely owing to its incredibly rich artistic heritage.

Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
Visit Sveti Jakov Beach and Banje Beach for some beach relaxation. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Cavtat Seaside Promenade and Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum. Go for a jaunt from Dubrovnik to Cavtat to see Cavtat Cemetery about 34 minutes away.
