Pearl of the Adriatic

Trieste is a charming old town with a quiet atmosphere often compared to eastern European cities.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Trieste Campo Marzio Railway Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at Greek Orthodox Church Saint Nicholas , take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa Santa Maria Assunta, learn about all things military at Civic Museum of the War for Peace Diego de Henriquez, then examine the collection at Civic Museum of Natural History of Trieste, and finally indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Giusto Cathedral, get outside with Vicentina road, brush up on your military savvy at Great War Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of Sant'Ignazio, then browse the exhibits of Monfalcone Great War Theme Park, and finally don't miss a visit to Antonio Dinosaur Paleontological Site.

Pisa to Trieste is an approximately 4.5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or take a train. January in Trieste sees daily highs of 11°C and lows of 4°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sun) early enough to go by car back home.
