Ponta Grossa — 24 nights

Princess of the Fields

Founded in 1822, Ponta Grossa has grown to become the fourth most populous city in the state of Parana, with a population of over 330,000.
You've now added Cannyon e Cachoeira do Rio Sao Jorge to your itinerary. Venture out of the city with trips to Parque Historico De Carambei (in Carambei), Prudentopolis (Igreja Santuaria Nossa Senhora das Gracas, Sao Josafat Church, &more) and Tibagi (Casa do Colono Museum, Guartela Canyon, &more). There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Parque Estadual de Vila Velha, stroll around Complexo Ambiental Governador Manoel Ribas, pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral Sant'Ana, and take in the dramatic scenery at Cachoeira Da Mariquinha.

To find photos, reviews, maps, and more tourist information, go to the Ponta Grossa online itinerary builder.

If you are flying in from The Netherlands, the closest major aiport is Afonso Pena Airport. Expect a daytime high around 28°C in March, and nighttime lows around 19°C.
