Little Hague of the East

Arnhem is known mostly for its John Frost Bridge, which the British tried to secure during World War II. The operation was significant enough to be the subject of a movie, "A Bridge Too Far." Many who go to Arnhem do so for its historical museums, war monuments, museum of modern art, and the Burgers' zoo.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Arnhem: Toy Gallery (in Brummen), Natuur-reservaat Ooijpolder-De Vlietberg Nijmegen (in Nijmegen) and Kroller-Muller Museum (in Otterlo). The adventure continues: stroll the grounds of Airborne Cemetery, examine the collection at Museumstation Beekbergen, take in nature's colorful creations at Arboretum de Dreijen, and get some jogging in at Ginkelse Heide.
