You can fly from Lihue to Kailua-Kona in 2.5 hours. March in Kailua-Kona sees daily highs of 81°F and lows of 70°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Tue) so you can go by car to Hilo.

Getting from Kailua-Kona to Hilo by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 80°F in March, and nighttime lows around 66°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to fly to Kihei.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Zipline and Ho'okipa Beach Park. Relax by the water at Wailea Beach and Kamaole Beach Park II.
