Adelaide to Brisbane is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. You can drive from Brisbane to Gold Coast in an hour. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In February in Gold Coast, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 24°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 22nd (Wed) before leaving for Brisbane.
